A Little About Me

Hi there, I'm Miranda! As a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula I am passionate about supporting families in their transition of welcoming a new life into their home. I am always seeking out new opportunities to learn and expand my perspective professionally and personally. I value the ability to bring comfort and nurturance through nourishing food, a cozy space, and a calm energy. I believe that attuning is key to connection, and curiosity broadens perspectives.

Beyond my doula work I am a mother of two young and very lively children. We are often together enjoying the outdoors, snuggled up reading our favourite stories, and dancing and singing along to the oldies. In my own time I enjoy a hot tea, a good book, puttering in the garden, and trivia nights.

My intention is to support the families that I serve in a way that they feel nurtured, heard, empowered, and confident as this next chapter of their life unfolds. I value the research behind child development and psychology and will always work to promote this. I respect families’ individual choices and customs, and I value research and education as well as traditional methods of caring and healing. With a combination of these perspectives beautiful things happen, and we often find that the research backs the traditional methods that have been practiced for many generations. I value attunement to each individual family and each family member, and by being attuned I am able to provide what is needed. The objective of postpartum and infant care doula work is to have families feel nurtured and sustained so they are able to thrive.
